The Dogwood & Lantana Programs

Proactive restorative and memory care at The Gardens.

For Residents who need specialized care in coping with various disorders such as Parkinson's or Alzheimer's disease, the Dogwood and Lantana Programs provide support twenty-four hours a day. Dogwood and Lantana accommodations reflect the overall gracious design of The Gardens, but recognize the unique needs of these residents. Both programs are guided by nationally recognized Alzheimer's expert Teepa Snow.

Dogwood and Lantana accommodations are as beautiful as the rest of The Gardens, with a higher level of staffing. The Lantana Program has its own full-time Program Director and both programs provide individualized programs for each Resident's unique needs.

Our staff understands the importance of individual preferences in daily life. They're specially trained Dementia Care Specialists to understand the progression of memory disorders. Above all, they're exceptionally caring, insightful people who bring compassion, companionship and mental stimulation to our Residents.

Dogwood & Lantana Programs

The Dogwood Program is desgined for those who need short term recovery and long term maintenance or restorative care for diseases such as Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy and other neurological disorders. The Dogwood Program includes a custom-designed neighborhood and all Eastside services, plus these special care services:

• Convienient access to on-site therapy and rehabilitation
• Medication supervision provided by professional staff
• Continence mangement

The Lantana Program is under the direct supervision of a full-time Lantana Program Director, with staff specially trained to understand the progression of memory disorders and to care for those with memory impairments. The Lantana Program Director and staff work together with nationally recognized Alzheimer's expert, Teepa Snow (complete bio on reverse side) to provide individualized programs for each resident's unique needs and abilities. The Lantana Program includes a custom-designed neighborhood and all Eastside services, plus these special care services:

• Individual plan of care for each resident
• Caring staff, trained as Dementia Care Specialists by Teepa Snow, MS, OTR/L
• Medication supervision provided by professional staff
• Structured activities program that integrates daily tasks of living and engages residents at all levels
• On-site Alzheimer's Support Group
• Dementia and transitional care counseling for families
• Monitored entries and exits
• Ongoing training for staff and caregivers

Dogwood & Lantana Residences

OTHER CHARGES:

• Community Fee: $3,000 (onetime fee)
• Second Related Resident: +$1,100/month (plus care level fee)
• Respite Care (Temporary stay): Starting at $200/day for Dogwood and $250/day for Lantana
• Diabetic Management: $225/month
