Jane Ford, CRCFA - Executive Director

"My husband and I are both from Charleston, SC, but have raised our two sons and made our home in the Upstate of SC since 1983. My business background for many years was in Sales and Marketing in the hospitality industry, but in 1997 my heart found a new passion in the assisted living industry. I have served two other assisted living communities in South Carolina as the Executive Director before coming to The Gardens at Eastside in January of 2005. I truly enjoy working with our senior population and feel so blessed to be able to work here at The Gardens with the best team around. I strive to make a difference in each of the lives of our residents and staff, but they are the ones who make a difference in mine."

Adam Olson, CRCFA - Assistant Executive Director

"I am married with two daughters and I first started working in long term care in early 1999. I joined The Gardens in 2003 and have worked in several different departments since my start. I am currently in charge of internal marketing and overseeing the Dietary and Maintenance department. Ever since I walked through our front doors, I have known that The Gardens is the perfect fit for me. I could not imagine another job that could possibly be more rewarding."

I have been a Registered Nurse since 1998 and my primary passion in nursing has always been for the senior population. My background includes management of a skilled/rehab unit and also management in assisted living. I thank God each day for allowing me to be a part of the residents’ lives and to work with this amazing team at The Gardens!”

I am so thankful to God for being able to work in such an awesome ministry, and to be part of such a great team!"

As a previous business owner, I have several years experience in Maintenance and Dietary services which is a good fit for my position. My wife's family has lived in the Greenville area for over 20 years and I moved here in 2002 with my wife and son. Current hobbies include playing baseball with my son, hiking, traveling, and eating good food! I look forward to meeting you when you visit The Gardens!"

Lyla Poynter, CSA - Director of Resident Relations

"My husband and I moved to beautiful Greenville, SC in June of 1991 and have thoroughly enjoyed raising our five children here. My background in sales and marketing has crossed over into healthcare many times in my career, including a position with one of the area hospitals as their Community Advocate for maternal/child health programs. I've always had a passion for serving the senior population and am thrilled to be a part of the terrific team we are blessed with here at The Gardens!"
